Mike Schreiner, Senior Pastor

Our pastor is a young, dynamic speaker with a heart for preaching the gospel. Each week, he combines humorous stories with a passionate commitment to Jesus Christ in order to present the timeless truths of the biblical message in very down-to-earth, practical, relevant terms. Pastor Mike has been an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church for nine years, during which time he has served three growing congregations as a Youth Pastor, an Associate Pastor, and a Senior Pastor. He has been married to his wife, Dede, for the past ten years; and they have one son, Jay. Mike loves to play golf and coach youth league sports.

Dede Schreiner, Christian Growth Ministries

Dede has a passion for helping people discover the blessings of a life transformed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Dede works daily with the Leaders of the Children, Youth, and Adult Small Group ministries---helping them to discover their gifts; empowering them to lead their groups with excellence; and encouraging them to deepen their own relationship with, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. Before coming with her husband, Mike, to start Morning Star Church, Dede has developed two Children's ministries, has worked with youth for seven years, and has participated in and led numerous Adult Small Groups. Besides spending time daily on her own spiritual maturity, Dede enjoys playing the piano, walking with friends, and having family time.

Mark Roach, Worship Leader: Director of Music/Media

Mark is a gifted young musician who has a special place in his heart for those who've given up on traditional church. As the leader of our Praise Band, Mark is deeply dedicated to presenting the gospel each week through music that rivals in sound quality what people hear on their radios. As director of our Media ministry, Mark utilizes the latest computer technology to help image and illustrate the theme of each Sunday's worship. This visual presentation compliments the worship experience and connects with today's culture---a culture that gets the majority of its information through visual media. Mark has led numerous vocal and instrumental groups, and has even released his own CD. Mark is a newlywed, married to Carolyn Conner Roach as of May 6, 2000, and apart from spending time with his new wife, he enjoys listening to music, watching his St. Louis Blues, and drinking his favorite beverage, RootBeer.

Diane Graslie, Office Manager

Diane is a wonderfully servant-hearted woman and the latest addition to the Morning Star staff.  She joined us as a volunteer in the office for several months and is now an official part-time office manager.  Not only does Diane help greatly behind the scenes at Morning Star with the weekly

tasks of organizing and printing the bulletin, entering necessary data in the computer system, filing, faxing, answering phones... she also spends several hours of her week as a servant leader in the church.  Diane chairs the Ministry team here at Morning Star, which organizes and carries out local and global mission trips and events, community outreach events and works with servant organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Samaritan's Purse.  Diane is married to Garth Graslie and has two sons, Cory and Eric.  She loves to spend time with her two dogs and two cats, and also enjoys reading and gardening.
